CURRENT CLINICAL TRIALS

Leading-Edge Research and Media Involvement
Our commitment to advancing medicine… and good health

Since 1999, Family Allergy & Asthma Care’s research department has been involved in leading-edge research, clinical trials, and testing that will improve patient care for years to come. Our research team includes Dr. Jacqueline S. Eghrari-Sabet and Dr. Gina Dapul- Hidalgo, both of whom are dual board-certified and fellowship trained allergy, immunology, and pediatric specialists, and Neshat Tebyanian, CRNP, who is the clinical research coordinator. We have experience in many areas of clinical investigation and undertake every study with confidence, skill, efficiency, and patient safety. All of our research studies are overseen by the FDA and the sponsoring pharmaceutical or medical device company.

Family Allergy & Asthma Care has conducted research studies on many asthma, hay fever, and sinus medication for some of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world. These include Genentech/Novartis, AstraZenca, Aventis, and Shering. We have also been a clinical investigator for Apieron, a medical device manufacturer. Our expertise and proven track record of accurate, reliable data keeps these and other sponsors coming back for quality research they can trust.

Patient safety is our number-one concern, and we take every precaution necessary to ensure their optimal health and well-being. Historically, patients who take part in our research studies are patients of our practice. If we determine that a patient is a candidate for clinical trials, we will thoroughly educate him or her on the benefits, potential risks and what to expect throughout the study. For each study we conduct, patients take medication(s) at home and keep a diary for us to review. They also come into our center on a regular basis for checkups/monitoring. And if a patient decides that he or she wants to quit taking part in a study, we will help them do so in safest manner possible.

Next, Dr. Eghrari-Sabet has extended her healthcare reach to consumers through television appearances, Internet videos and newspaper interviews. By providing “of the moment” medical information and health tips, she can help people better understand everything from the newest medications and medical research findings to global, national, and local health concerns. She has consulted with CNN on “House Calls with Dr. Sanjoy Gupta” and “Nick News” on Nickelodeon.

Dr. Eghrari-Sabet and her team will continue to discover new ways to make a positive difference in the lives of people in our community… and beyond. For more information about our research capabilities or if you have a patient you wish to refer, please don’t hesitate to call the Family Allergy & Asthma Care location nearest you.
